Peanut-Free Homemade Honey Nut Butter 3 Ways

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups raw nuts, we used almonds, walnuts or hazelnuts
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons Madhava Natural Sweeteners Organic Pure & Raw Honey

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Arrange the almonds, walnuts or hazelnuts in a single layer on a large baking tray, and bake for about 10 minutes. Nuts should be fragrant, but not dark. Remove from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes, until they are warm but not hot.
  2. Transfer to a food processor and blend until creamy, about 5-10 minutes, scraping down the sides with a spatula as needed. Be patient! It takes a few minutes for the oils to release for a creamy nut butter. It’ll look dry at first, and eventually the fibers will break down.
  3. Once the nut butter is very creamy, add salt and organic honey, pulsing until fully combined.
  4. Transfer to a container with a lid (your empty Madhava Natural Sweeteners Organic Honey jars work great!) and refrigerate until ready to use. Can store for 3-4 weeks.
