Bourbon And Honey Mint Julep

Ingredients:
  • For the Honey-Mint Syrup
  • 5-8 mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup Madhava Natural Sweeteners Organic Pure & Raw Honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • For the Honey Mint Julep
  • 2-3 mint leaves
  • 1/2 ounce Honey-Mint Syrup
  • 2 1/2 ounces bourbon
  • Crushed ice
  • Garnish: sprig of fresh mint

For the Honey-Mint Syrup

  1. In a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat, add honey and water and stir constantly until honey is dissolved. Remove from heat, stir in mint leaves and set aside to cool for at least 1 hour. Remove the mint leaves and store in an air-tight container and refrigerate until ready to use.

For the Bourbon and Honey Mint Julep

  1. Add mint leaves to your glass and gently muddle the leaves.
  2. Add 1/2 ounce of the honey-mint syrup, bourbon and crushed ice, and stir.
  3. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint to serve!
