Overview

Let’s all pledge to skip the unrecognizable ingredients and unnecessary dyes and fragrances found in most store-bought hair products! Instead, head to your kitchen and whip up one of these 3-ingredients-or-less DIY hair mask recipes made with whole foods and all the benefits of organic honey. You’ll be able to customize your homemade hair mask depending on what you need that day, plus it’s a great way to use a too-ripe avocado or ingredients that have gone past their expiration date.

In 2019, we’re getting in gear for a year focused on intentional wellness, and that includes making time for yourself. When you’re using one of these whole food hair mask recipes, make it a 30-minute break in your week – turn off your phone, light some candles, sip on a wellness latte or do some deep breathing exercises. Give yourself time like this every week and you’ll start to notice some big changes, both inside and out.

Another part of intentional wellness is choosing products that are free from toxins that can cause harm to the body. It’s hard to tell “good ingredients” just from the label, so our friends at the Clean Label Project are testing commonly-used products for 130 harmful contaminants and toxins like heavy metals and pesticides! Check out their list to see how your favorite products are ranked.

For the last 45 years, it’s been our goal to source the purest, most delicious sweeteners, so we knew we needed to get in on the action! We asked the Clean Label Project to test our , Organic Agaves and Organic Coconut Sugar for the 130 contaminants, and we weren’t surprised when they all passed. These three products even won awards for Purity and Antioxidant Superiority, and you’ll soon find the Clean Label Project certification on our packaging.
