Pumpkin Swirl Brownies

Ingredients:

For the Pumpkin Swirl:

  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 2 tablespoons Madhava Coconut Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

For the Brownies:

  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1/3 cup + 2 tablespoons Madhava Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 3 ounces Chocolate, chopped
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup Madhava Coconut Sugar
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Pumpkins are in season and we can’t get enough of them. Try making these delicious Pumpkin Swirl Brownies, using Madhava Organic Honey and Organic Coconut Sugar. Perfect to make for school classroom parties or for family desserts.

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In double boiler, melt chocolate.
  3. Whisk together eggs, vanilla and coconut sugar until smooth.
  4. Mix chocolate and olive oil into egg mixture.
  5. Fold in flour, cocoa powder and salt until combined. Spread evenly into prepared 9×9 pan.
  6. In separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, pumpkin puree, coconut sugar and pumpkin pie spice.
  7. Dollop the pumpkin swirl mix over brownie batter. Using a knife, cut through the mixture and swirl into the batter, creating marbled look.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting and lifting out of pan.
