Our friends at the Clean Label Project are working to make it even easier to identify products made with good, clean ingredients! They test products for 130 harmful contaminants and toxins including heavy metals, pesticides and even glyphosate which can often go undetected in food testing. Then, they publish the results online — check out their list to see how your favorite products are ranked.

For the last 45 years, it’s been our goal to source the purest, most delicious sweeteners, so we asked them to test our Organic Honeys, Organic Agaves and Organic Coconut Sugar for the 130 contaminants. The result? We won awards for Purity and Antioxidant Superiority! The CLP will be publishing the “Sweeteners” report on their website, and you’ll soon find the Clean Label Project certification on our packaging.

Directions
  1. Set a small saucepan over high heat and combine orange juice, apple cider vinegar, organic honey, chili powder, cumin, ginger and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 45 minutes, until sauce has reduced to one cup.
  2. Set a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper, place in skillet to cook for 5 minutes then flip and cook an additional 2 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
  3. Drizzle the orange honey glaze on top, fully coat the chicken and allow to cook for 1-2 minutes more. Serve warm and store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
