Mixed Berry Crisp

Ingredients:

For The Topping:

  • 1 ¼ cups whole rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Madhava Simpla Zero Calorie Sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup cold butter, diced

Berry Filling:

  • 6 cups total mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, etc.)
  • ¼ cup Madhava Simpla Zero Calorie Sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Sweetened with Simpla Zero Calorie Sweetener, this Mixed Berry Crisp is perfect for the whole family, and it won’t leave you with a sugar crash. Although, vanilla ice cream on top is highly recommended!

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350˚F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, stir together oats, flour, sweetener, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. Add cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your hands to blend until mixture forms crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, stir together berries, sweetener, lemon juice, vanilla, and flour until well coated.
  5. Transfer berries to a baking dish or pie dish.
  6. Top with oat mixture, covering the berries in an even layer.
  7. Bake for 35-45 minutes, until the topping is golden brown.
  8. Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream.

*Note: We also tested this recipe with gluten-free all-purpose flour and vegan butter – it was delicious both ways!
