Overview

Sweets are the name of the game during the Halloween season, and with the help of our natural and organic sweeteners, a homemade treat is definitely a better option! The best part of these homemade lollipops (well, other than being made with just a few simple, clean ingredients) is that you can easily change the flavor with different herbs and extracts to make your favorite hard candies at home. We used culinary lavender to give these homemade lollipops a light flavor, but herbs like rosemary and basil, and extracts like mint, cinnamon, vanilla and almond will work wonderfully, as well.

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan set over medium heat and attach a candy thermometer to the inside.
  2. Continue stirring until sugar has completely dissolved, and increase heat to medium-high. Bring mixture to a boil, and allow to cook without stirring until the mixture reaches 300°F.
  3. While candy is cooking, place a large sheet of parchment paper on the counter. Once candy reaches 300°F, carefully pour the mixture onto the parchment creating 2-inch circles. Place the cake-pop stick and allow to cool completely until fully hardened before peeling the lollipops off the parchment. Wrap each lollipop in a small sheet of parchment or plastic wrap to prevent them from sticking together.
